Since drug abuse stands as a global problem with its adverse
effects reflecting on the entire nations of the world. It is a wild fire
that blows as a stumbling block to human existence on earth, as it
concerns human development, with special reference to mental, physical,
and spiritual developmental stages in life. Drug abuse is a problem
caused by people or organizations who have no good feelings about the
lives of the masses. Then to put a stop or reduce the activities of
these merchants of death, requires both arithmetical and geometrical
preventive measures which ranges from media campaigns (radio and
television programmes with jingles) creating of Anti-Drug abuse clubs in
both secondary schools and higher institutions in the country. Having
periodical seminars and workshops like the United Nations Drug Abuse
Remembrance Day of 26th June of every year, with government agencies
like NDLEA, Police, NAFDAC, FRSC ETC. so that high rate of Crimes
Associated with drug abuse in the societies will be drastically reduced
such as road accidents on our high ways, rape, robbery, domestic
accidents, teenage pregnancy, youth restiveness, school drop-outs,
cultism in the schools, and also to reduce the high rate of infant and
maternal morbidity and mortality in the society as it concerns diseases
and its preventions.
* Also drug abuse campaign will help in reducing the spread of HIV/AIDS in the society.
* Drug Abuse Campaign will help in making our students to be focused on their studies when they know that Drug abuse or its Trafficking stand as a dangerous venture which has its legal consequences, including Health related complications.
* Drug Abuse campaign programme will help in rebranding our nation's image abroad.
* Drug Abuse campaign programme will reduce examination malpractices and cultism in schools.
Drug Abuse programme will help the government in the planning of health programmes.

Though this association which started as a movement in the name of ADAM was registered as an incorporation by the corporate Affairs commission in 2005, its programmes have been jaundiced by lack of funds and human resources.
